BSc Critical Care Technology

B.Sc in Critical Care Technology is a four undergraduate course in which students learn about theoretical and practical aspects of equipment and machinery used in intensive care units such as learn Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiography, Computerized Treadmill Test (TMT), Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) among others. Apart from this students learn about Operating Theatre Technology and about Critical care. 

After the completion of B.Sc in Critical Care Technology, students are well equipped to work in the Critical Care Unit, Cardiac Unit, Operation Theatre etc.

 

B.Sc in Critical Care Technology Eligibility Criteria

 

When applying for B.Sc in Critical Care Technology you must be familiar with the eligibility which is as follows

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12th examination from a recognised educational board with a minimum of 50% 

  • Candidates must have studied the following subjects in 10+2: Biology/ Mathematics, English, Chemistry and Physics. 

  •  The pass percentage will vary from college to college.

B.Sc in Critical Care Technology Admission Process

The admission procedure followed for B.Sc in Critical Care Technology in most of the colleges is as follows:

  • In most of the colleges, the admission will be done based on the candidate’s marks secured in the 10+2 examination

  • Some colleges also release their merit list for admission, candidates qualified for the merit will be eligible to take admission in that college

  • The second way for selection to the B.Sc in Critical Care Technology is through entrance exams. Candidates are selected based on the marks they have managed to score in an institute's entrance exams. To do this, applicants must apply to the university/college first. The Institute will provide an exam schedule for applicants, and those qualified for the exam will be eligible for admission
